P-EBT for August and September 

The Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) has elected to participate in, and has been approved for August and September issuance of P-EBT benefits to Boyd County students. 

No action is necessary. Parents will receive a P-EBT card mailed to the address on file for their student(s) enrolled at Boyd Co Schools.

If you already have an EBT card will funds be added directly to it?

No, we are unable to add funds to existing EBT cards.

If you applied for and received a P-EBT card previously, will money be loaded on it or will a new one be received?  

No, a new card in each child’s name will be sent this time.

How much will be received per student? 


When do you expect the cards to be mailed?  

The cards will begin being mailed the first week of October, BUT do to the volume of our order, some students may not receive a card until the late November.  

All families with questions please call CHFS at 855-306-8959 and should choose the ‘food benefits’ option.
