 Simple Activities that will help your child use their skills in a
real life environment
 
 
 
Week 1:
 Sounds:  Name 2 foods with your speech sound that you might have for Thanksgiving dinner.  Then, describe those foods to your helper and see if they can guess which one you are describing.

Language: 
 Tell 1 sentence that describes a Native American and 1 sentence that describes a Pilgrim.
 
 
Week 2:
 Sounds:  Finish the following sentence using at least one word with your speech sound in it.  "On Thanksgiving, I _____________."

Language
: Talk about your favorite food and tell the ingredients that you will need to make it.

 
Week 3:
 Sounds:  As you drive to go get the food that you are going to eat for Thanksgiving, look for a street or road sign that has your sound in it.  Tell what the road sign tells you to do.  Remember to use your good sound when talking about the sign.

Language
: Look in your pantry help make a list of the items you need to buy to fix your Thanksgiving dinner.  Tell where each item would be found in the grocery store.
 
 
 
Week 4:
 Sounds: Make a list of 3 things that you are thankful for that have your sound in them.  When reading your list use good sounds.

Language:
Make a list of 3 things that you are thankful for and explain why you are thankful for them.  Make sure you use complete sentences and correct grammar when sharing.
