Library Syllabus

EXPECTATIONS

  • Class participation is required.
  • Lessons will be introduced and practiced during library.
  • Kindergarten will begin checkouts after fall break.
  • K-2 will be allowed to get 1 book per week.
  • Grades 3-5 will be allowed to get 2 books per week.
  • Students will be allowed one extra book for any school projects.
  • Students must return their book/s to get a new one.
  • Any lost or damaged books will need to be paid for so they can be replaced.

SPECIAL EVENTS

  • Parents are allowed to come in and checkout books for family reading.
  • There will be two book fairs per year, one in September and one in March.
  • Dr. Seuss’ birthday celebration in early March.

    • Use Destiny to locate books
    • Knows that fiction, easy fiction, and biography are arranged alphabetically by author’s last name.
    • Selects and reads fiction books at an appropriate level.
