With the calendar changing to November, we are turning our focus to several new topics. Starting with nocturnal creatures, such as spiders, bats, and owls, we will move into the middle of the month with the lessons of Thanksgiving. Learning about North America, healthy eating, and various customs of the early Americans will keep us busy into the holidays.
Volunteers are welcome any time! We will have many opportunities and needs in the classroom!
And speaking of volunteers, thank you to Mr. And Mrs. Messer for the pumpkin cookie decorating time. I also want to thank Mrs. Chafin for helping take pictures for our class fireman book and to Mrs. Wooten for substituting for Ms. Melissa. A VERY big thank you to Ms. Whitney for all she has done this year, including two full days of helping get ready for trick or treat!
Home visits will be scheduled the first three Fridays in November. A sign-up sheet will be coming home this week. Please mark a time that is convenient for your family and return it to school as soon as possible.
