After developing strong thesis statements, began our introductory paragraph.  You really only need two things to do this: a good hook and your thesis statement. On Friday you will have a vocabulary quiz over the first 5 weeks' words.  There are 52. You may create an answer bank on a 3x5 index card.  On it you may write the words and their part of speech only.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!

We took some time to talk about classroom procedures and how to succeed in this class.

Supplies:  You will need a binder (at least 1 1/2") with six dividers.  These dividers should be labeled:  To Killl a Mockingbird, Frankenstein,  Poetry Out Loud, Vocabulary, On-Demand Writing, Language Skills.

Please have this ready by Monday!
