ASHLAND — Ashland Town Center will award $5,100 to area schools this fall. The mall drives its commitment to children’s education through Earning for Learning, a partnership program designed to promote and support education in local school districts.
Earning for Learning encourages residents to shop at the mall during a six-week promotional period to earn “points” and ultimately the chance to win cash prizes for schools of their choice.
From Monday through Sept. 23, each dollar customers spend can be turned into points for schools. Mondays and Tuesdays are Double-Point Days, and receipts from those select days earn the school double points. Plus, shoppers can earn double points for visiting select retailers each week. Weekly double point stores will be posted at Guest Services and ashlandtowncenter.com.
Shoppers can earn triple points every day if they purchase an Ashland Town Center VISA Debit Card from Guest Services. Shoppers redeem receipts the same week as the purchase for points at Guest Services and designate the points to schools of their choice.
Ashland Town Center will keep a tally board updated weekly at Guest Services. Each week first, second and third place will be awarded a cash prize of $500, $250 and $100, respectively. Shoppers have until 6 p.m. Sept. 23 to turn in receipts.
Last year, more than 257,000 points were totaled for area schools. During the six-week program, the following schools won a cash prize: Sugar Creek Christian Academy — $1,600; Summit Elementary — $1,450; Calvary Christian Academy — $1,200; Holy Family — $750; and Dawson Bryant Middle — $100.
All area schools are eligible to participate, and there is no signup.
