If you would like to contact someone about a truancy issue, please call the district office at 606-928-4141 and ask for Mr. David Trimble, Student Services Coordinator or Mr. Cliff Salyers, Director of Pupil Personnel.
Boyd County Public Schools has made truancy prevention one of its top priorities. The Office of Pupil Personnel is committed to working with parents, schools, community, the County Attorney and the Juvenile Judges to keep kids in school and stop truant behavior before it starts.
The truancy process can be complex. Avoid court by getting help before truancy becomes a problem. If you have any questions or would like more information about Kentucky’s truancy laws, contact the County Attorney’s Office at: (606) 739-4321 or contact the district office at (606) 928-4141.
