Early Tuesday morning, approximately 45 of the 52 members of the Boyd County High School Combined Choir performed in the gymnasium of the Ashland YMCA for the Ashland Breakfast Kiwanis.
Making up this group is nine students who qualified for the Kentucky Music Educators Association's (KMEA) All-State Choir, which performs this coming February. Qualifiers will compete against 200 other choirs at the KMEA Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.
Among the selections chosen for Tuesday's performance were "Jubilate Deo," an All-State a cappella audition piece, "Beautiful December," "Mary Did You Know?," and "Betelehemu," a Nigerian Christmas carol.
