Welcome to Boyd County Public Schools. Representatives from the Girl's Basketball Team are honored for their OUTSTANDING, winning season! The girl's team made it all the way to the Final Four! (Many from the team were involved with other sports the night of the recognition.) Representatives from the Boy's Basketball Team were recognized for their FANTASTIC season! They also played in the State's Final Four tournament. (Many of the team couldn't attend due to playing other sports.) The BCHS Scholastic 3-D Archery Team won the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT held in Cincinnati! This was their 4th national title. Katie Hemmann, 6th from right, won first place in her division. The SkillsUSA competitors were recognized for taking home several 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place honors. At far right is BCCTEC's welding instructor Garrett Kitchen. Ms. Kathryn Davis-Lamp, far right, representing Area Education Grants, recognized BCPS grant recipients for 17-18. Left to right: Letitia Rudie, Catlettsburg; Abby Maynard, BCHS; and Chris Wallace, Summit. Brandon Hill from Ramey couldn't attend. Ms. Lisa Wiler is recognized by the board and in conjunction with the state of Kentucky's designation of February as Gifted Education Appreciation month. Ms. Missy Conley was not able to attend. Our Finance Dept. showing support for our teachers and joining other Ky Association of School Business Officials by wearing red.
